Ubucon Sevilla!

On the 5th of May, the University of Seville, Spain, is hosting the latest in the Ubucon series. The Ubucon is a casual one day conference, installfest and LUG meet combined.

The event, while sponsored by Canonical, is organised and run by the community. There will be several personalities from the Ubuntu community in attendance, such as the Ubuntu Community Manager, Jono Bacon, Luis de Bethencourt Guimerá representing Ubuntu Studio, and Jordi Alins from the Catalan Local Community Team will be talking about Ubuntu diffusion between adult populations, from a construstivistic pedagogic perspective. Guadalinex, the local Andalucía distribution from La Junta de Andalucía, based on Ubuntu, is also set to feature.

This day in history: May 5, 2007, is also the 5th anniversary of the day Mark Shuttleworth returned to earth, after his landmark space mission.

El 5 de mayo, la Universidad de Sevilla, en España, será la anfitriona de la próxima Ubucon. Ubucon es un día donde se combinan conferencias, installfest y encuentros de LUG’s (Grupos de usuarios de Linux).

El evento, el cual es patrocinado por Canonical, es organizado y dirigido por la comunidad. Asistirán varias personalidades de la comunidad Ubuntu, como el Ubuntu Community Manager, Jono Bacon, Luis de Bethencourt Guimerá representando a Ubuntu Studio, y Jordi Alins perteneciente al equipo de la Comunidad Local (LOCO) de Cataluña que estarán hablando sobre la difusión de Ubuntu entre el público adulto, desde una perspectiva pedagógica constructiva.. la asistencia de Guadalinex, la distribución local de La Junta de Andalucía, basada en Ubuntu, es otro punto a favor.

Este día en la historia: El 5 de Mayo de 2007 es también el 5º aniversario del día en que Mark Shuttleworth volvió a la Tierra, después de su misión espacial.
