I promised I would not be so tardy with the tradition this time.
It appears as though I can keep my promises, since I was on a roll with the pencil. I drew Karmic right after I posted Jaunty, but it took me a while to get the colouring right.

As a long time reader of the linuxchix blogs and a person who appreciates your mascot wallpaper, I have a comment about the current one that I hope you don’t take any offence. The countenance seem to resemble that of Adolph Hitler. This is how it struck me. I assume you did not intend this and thus thought to give you a chance to possibly consider changing it. If you do not, I won’t be offended but I thought it might save you from getting any other comments from others. I wonder if there is a godwin’s law joke in there somewhere?

I’m just another person who appreciates all of the work you do for Ubuntu and open source software in general, but why is the koala so sad and cranky looking. I’m sure being “Kalmic” would tend to tend to make a koala mellow and happy.

Koalas are a pain to draw, and look grumpy by default.
So, people think it looks pissed off… oh well.
